Answers - For Customers

Q1 - How long does it take to set up a battery of psychometric tests for a candidate?

A - Standard psychometric tests are available for completion immediately after the transaction has been processed (approximately 15-20 minutes). Customised psychometric solutions are typically set-up within the same business day.

Q2 - How do I order an online psychometric test?

A - Three options are available to order an online assessment –

As some of our solutions are restricted to psychologists we limit the options for new customers to email, telephone and fax.

Q3 - What IT equipment does the candidate need to have to use Psych Press’ online psychometric tests?

A - Our psychometric tests are web-based, therefore the candidate requires having a PC and internet connection (dial-up or broad band). The speed of the internet connection will not impact the candidate’s test results.

A - Our technical support team is delighted to offer you support by:

Q5 - For how long does a respondent’s information remain available?

A - Data will remain available on our secure systems for a period of seven years.  The data on our systems is always available through online reports.

Q6 -  Do you have an uptime guarantee?

A -  We guarantee 99.5% monthly uptime.  In fact our systems have been averaging 99.9% availability.

Q7 -  We currently utilise a paper & pencil assessment tool.  If we were to switch to your online would we need to rewrite our test content?

A -  No.  We have, in many instances, transferred content to our platform. We also have a broad range of popular solutions on a web-based platform that you may wish to use instead of the existing assessment tools.

Q8 - Are there any set-up or service fees?

A -  For existing solution, set-up and services fees are not charged.  Our fee structure is based upon usage. We track how many assessments have been pre-purchased by an account. For customised solutions, we charge a one-off set-up fee to develop the required tool on a web platform.

Q9 -  What type of security features does Psych Press have?

A -  With a hosted solution, data between users of Psych Press and the servers is exchanged in as high as a 128-bit encryption, which is the standard used by financial institutions.

Q10 - How does Psych Press know whether I'm qualified?

A - Certain psychometric tests published by Psych Press are available only to users who have appropriate training and credentials, and who adhere to the principals of proper use, including knowledge of assessments and their applications. Therefore, when restricted assessments are used, we require the buyer to complete a user qualification form by fax or email.

Q11 - How long will it take to receive my written reports?

A - We guarantee to deliver a comprehensive report within 1 business day from assessment completion. In most cases we will have the report completed and delivered sooner.

Q12 - How can I find out whether a particular candidate has completed the psychometric test?

A - An IT Consultant will be able to track the candidate’s progress in terms of whether the candidate has started the assessment but not actually completed or the candidate has not started the assessment at all. Clients who are set up with an automatic ordering system can track their candidates’ progress in real-time through their online system.

Q13 - As a client, how can I track my Invoice payment?

A - Any questions relating to invoice or payments should be made to the Psych Press’ Accounts department admin@psychpress.com.au.
The admin person will be able to help you out in all your payment or pricing related queries.

Q3 - Am I allowed to go back and change my responses on the ability/personality questionnaires?

A - No. Once you have entered your answer/response you cannot click back to edit it. Therefore please ensure you have picked the best answer or the one that you most agree with.

Q4 - Are my answers kept confidential?

A - Yes, Psych Press maintains the strictest of confidences with regards to client information and candidate answers. Reports are released only to clients and are held in the strictest confidence as per Australian Psychological Society (APS) guidelines.

Q5 - Being a candidate, will I be able to get a copy of my results?

A - Psych Press has its full obligation towards its clients; therefore, we do not provide any sort of results score or report to individual candidates. We forward the candidates’ report directly to the corresponding client. Nevertheless, we offer verbal feedback with our psychologists to assist you with understanding your test results. This feedback does not focus on the position you applied for but will deal with general findings.
